Week 7 of Development


For this week of development I mainly worked on improving a number of systems within my game. Firstly, I altered the way patterns work to limit the amount of repetition in the random ones. After this I overhauled the behavior of the sonar projectiles, making it so that they fully reveal torpedoes and so that they are better positioned to reflect where they hit their target. I also added a couple of new features, one of them being that if the player stays still for too long, torpedoes will be shot at their position. In addition, I added visual effects for when the player achieves a new personal best to give them more positive feedback.
