Week 2 of Development


During the second week of development I made some changes to the code for the sonar projectiles to improve their behaviour. I found that they would instantly set their location to that of the obstacle that they hit, which would look odd when the sonar hits at certain angles. To remedy this I made it so that the sonar will position itself based on the angle that it hit at. Also during this week I implemented power-ups that the player can pick up and use, with their currently being three different types. The power-ups that I made include a health restorative, a boost to the fire rate of the sonar, and torpedoes to destroy obstacles. The final area that I worked on this week was the art, with me drawing sprites for the torpedoes and submarine, though these are still work in progress and may need adjusting in the future.
